The dashpot, to be tested, should be kept in the device duly filled with water and gradually air pressure to be applied to the brake cylinder fitted in the device. Axle guide fitted with the Brake cylinder’s piston will go inside the dashpot and create pressure inside. If any blow holes or improper welding exists in the dashpot, leakages will appear and can be attended further.
